Tony knows how rough it is on Bruce. Bruce, who hasn't been close to anyone for a long time, and probably not intimate with anyone for longer. He knows what that must mean to him. Denial is not a strong trait for Tony, but he's familiar with the effects. Right now, what Bruce really needs is to feel someone hold him and relax.

How long must it have been since he really got to relax?

The words mumbled into Tony's neck confirm the answer to that question, and he shifts slightly to readjust his embrace. They're settling in even though he said it would only be five minutes... and that's all right. As long as Bruce is happy, Tony can sleep like this. There will be time later to get up and get comfortable again. Comfort is something he wants Bruce to get used to. The man has been running for so long he's probably forgotten a lot of what this is like. It's time for that to change.

"What do you want to eat?" he asks, speaking low and letting Bruce drift off if he wants to. "We'll have that tomorrow. I'll call in, and we'll get breakfast in bed, and you can sleep right here all day. How's that sound?"
