And Bruce does relax into it - slowly, but its a gradual process, and he doesn't feel himself tensing as much as he does now while Tony traces nonsensical patters on his skin. He does like it, just this - its simple, and its nice, and Bruce likes it when both of those can come together.

"We already did more than this though," he returns wryly, returning the kiss with one of his own. Its brief, but he hoped it could tell Tony the things he couldn't bring himself to say right now. "If you want, we can do more. Just don't surprise me... too much. I'm not good with surprises in bed."

As much as he trusts Tony, Bruce still rather not risk anything if he can help it. It was still better to be safe than sorry.
