A part of Bruce knows that if he fights against the hands trying to put him down, there is a decent chance that he might win. But Bruce doesn't want to fight against Tony, and especially not for something like this. But at the same time he really doesn't want this to escalate any more than it already has. He knows what Tony is trying to do and he understands it, certainly, but--

"Maybe I can't, but I have to all the same," he answers, eyes closing again. He can't do this while Tony is so close to him, far too close. He wants and he needs and he yearns, but if anything Bruce is the master of suppression and he squashes all that down before they can get a grip anywhere. "I can't risk this."

Not for something like this.
